Key Stage One Days 29th and 30th January 2013
The children had a wonderful time during these two days which were planned around our current topic of traditional tales. We have looked at the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and The Gingerbread Man.
During the two days the children have all been able to paint and bake ginger bread men. They have also planted beans as part of a science experiment.
Key Stage one children have worked on character descriptions of the Giant which they have edited and then typed, developing their ICT skills. The language the children used to describe the Giant was wonderful and we hope you come into school to see some of the finished work.
We have also looked at measurement using giant and giantess feet and some of the children also went onto measure with cms.
The reception children have had a wonderful time sharing experiences with each other.
One of the highlights was certainly using our new play equipment at Crowcombe School.
