Harvest Festival And Artistic WOW Day A Bumper Crop Of Creativity

All of the children in both schools joined in with our Harvest Festival Celebrations at St Mary's Church, Stogumber on Wednesday, 19th October. Reception painted trees using their hands and added Autumn colour by printing with corks.

Key Stage One children talked about their recent visit to Staple Farm where the diocese had hosted an event to show children how farmers feed us. They showed paintings and collage.

Key Stage Two read out poems which had been linked to their work in school.

The rest of the day was a 'wow' day and children stayed together at Stogumber. They were each given a sketch book, made Harvest mice with clay and used food to create fruit and vegetable collages faces based upon an artist called Giuseppe Arcimboldo.

Everyone had a fantastic time!
