Tesco Bags of Help
Stogumber Primary School – Turning Learning Inside Out
Tesco has teamed up with Groundwork to launch its Bags of Help initiative across hundreds of regions in England and Wales. The scheme will see three community groups and projects in each region awarded grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge.
“Turning Learning Inside Out” is a fund-raising project to raise money for outside learning equipment at Stogumber and Crowcombe Primary Schools. This particular grant is aimed at providing essential playground equipment at Stogumber for all the children to use all year round. We have been fortunate enough to be selected as one of the final three shortlisted for an award from Tesco Groundworks for either, £12,000, £10,000 or £8,000 all of which are fantastic sums of money to receive.
It is now for the local people to decide which cause they would like to support when they shop at Tesco’s between 27th February and 6th March. You will be given a token at the checkout at Minehead Tesco’s when you pay for your shopping and you then drop it into the relevant box - even online shoppers can get a vote!!!!! At the end of the period the project with the most tokens wins the golden prize of £12,000.
Needless to say, Stogumber School needs your support!!
Please share this with your friends, family, neighbours, colleagues and contacts, and via email, social media and ask them all to support us, as our children really need your votes!!!!!
