Our Curriculum
At Crowcombe and Stogumber C of E Primary Schools we provide a rich and diverse curriculum that is coherently planned and sequenced to enable progression and build on pupil knowledge and understanding with key concepts woven throughout. Throughout our curriculum we embed our school vision ' Together, Let us Love, Encourage, Achieve and Flourish'.
We work in mixed aged classes and have a two year rolling programme for children in KS1, Lower KS2 and Upper KS2.
We value all curriculum subjects and have carefully planned and sequenced an ambitious curriculum for each subject area, considering what we teach, why we teach it and how it builds on prior knowledge and provides the foundations for later learning.
Our curriculum offer is fully inclusive and accessible to all, regardless of background or ability. We celebrate diversity and promote equality, providing opportunities for all learners to engage, participate, and thrive.
Each area of the curriculum is led by a member of our teaching staff who ensure that the intent of their curriculum area is well sequenced, planned and resourced and that teacher's have good knowledge to effectively implement the curriculum to ensure the pupils develop the knowledge and skills to achieve well.
